   @mischievoustomato @anemone @sun I would say in Linux the people fixing stuff care about it working... for themselves. They don't care if you know how to use it. That's the main difference.

     @Aeder @anemone @mischievoustomato this is my position, I am coming at this as a dev, it's just miserable compared to Linux for me. I swear I am not saying this as a partisan, just it's so hard to make things work.

     @anemone @mischievoustomato @sun True for a lot of things. Still, at least when it comes to Dev work, Mac has been a fucking nightmare for me compared to Linux (with Windows being far worse than both)
     
     And sometimes it has incredibly unintuitive ways of performing simple actions like taking a screenshot, or directly going to a folder through the UI.

     @Aeder @anemone @mischievoustomato @sun On a company that I join once I was given a powermac (like picture) with dual xeons, because the Linux people use macs, or so I was told, I had never used MacOS X, I couldn't bear it for less than a week, I installed Linux on it, plugged a regular PC keyboard on it and boy was I a happy camper. The best Macs are those running Linux. 👍
