@gimulnautti @homlett that's just about what #Nutanix did. Six years ago they were in a sweet spot between pricing, flexibility, and ease of use. There wasn't another commercial offering that didn't have significant drawbacks for us. Now you might as well bite the bullet and go #VMware if you need anything other than general purpose VMs. #Nutanix licensing and R&D have both lost their minds.

1) Sell product at a huge loss on a huge market for 5-10 years, enough to get the way people work and do business to change.
2) Now that your product is unreplaceable, hike the prices and worsen the service.
3) Come up with a new thing to ”disrupt”.
Every new digital service, same story. Central control of as many business & people as possible is always what the market REALLY prefers.
