@Gargron 100% agree. US stands a good chance of becoming much more oligarchic under Trump, with politics starting to seep into how the company leaders operate.

Well this wasn’t a very nice morning to wake up to. My heart goes out to all the Americans who will suffer greatly during the next 4 years.

My hopes go out to Europeans to finally have the guts to drop reliance on American military to look out for us.

Thanks to the fediverse, I will not forget there were good Americans who understood the chaos that now threatens the rules-based world order and international co-operation, as America steers closer to a Russian-style oligarchy.

That weakness was created. Not on purpose, but by carelessness, empty promises and faulty arguments.

Over the last decade, #SiliconValley has contributed the most to that weakness. Disruptions of our communication, relationship & work has led to rising inequality & insecurity.

Of course, the #WarOnTerror had a hand in it, but big tech really finished the job.

The first is now happening in #georgia. As it has been happening everywhere where Russia has influence.

- voter intimidation

The results have already been declared contested by several European states.
