   @eris @winter Mine is that the material harms to minors will actually be greater with it passed due to forcing parties causing harm further underground away from where they are able to be effectively surveilled or fought against. With FOSTA/SESTA, sex work was forced further underground and prosecutors lost their best tools for combating legitimate sex trafficking in the form of leads from Backpage listings. I very much feel something similar will happen here (hence my mention of hidden services at the start of the previous post, and for our purposes here, you can probably consider things like Matrix groupchats to fulfill the same purpose as well)

     @allison @eris @winter the bill only targets "high impact online companies". No one on fedi will have to care, except maybe Threads. Most teens are still going to put up with it because that's where all the celebrities are
