   @arcana @sun @eemmaa the 2019 one is unfunny woke shit. I always cringe when I see 110lbs girls throwing around 200lbs muscular men, because you can always notice how much the stuntmen give in and carry the performance for the actors instead of just helping them.

     @sun @arcana @eemmaa you wish. These films suffer from bad directing. It is possible to show a woman as a competent fighter against stronger opponents, but this is much harder to do and requires actresses to actually train and know their tricks.

     @newt @arcana @eemmaa they are ashamed of the cheesecake origins, which makes you wonder why they want to leverage charlies angels for anything to begin with. well, we know the answer, because normal people aren't wokescolds and just like cheesecake so someone says "plunge the depths of tv for movie ideas" and someone, absolutely embarrassed by charlies angels is tasked with making a movie about it so they shoehorn girl power into it

     @eemmaa @arcana @newt the woke part comes in where they can't just make the cheesecake movie that anyone who liked charlies angels would actually want. but it doesn't actually matter because when they are just using old shows as raw material and don't need any kind of fidelity to the material (and as you mention, who cares, charlies angels was slop anyway)
