Microsoft tried putting datacenter underwater but discontinued that effort due to higher maintenance costs. Using a large body of water is a good way to handle heat and reduce energy consumption.
What I am curious about is combining hydroelectric dams and large reservoirs with cooling server facilities. The flow of water which goes through the turbines could go through a series of pipes to cool down large facilities first before going through turbines to generate power. #AI #ChatGPT
