@dictatordave@Spingebill@doctorsex looking at this from a basic like 007 style logic, you don't want to use anyone that is easy to trace to anything foreign. It seems like it would be best to assume that he's going to be killed and all his personal belongings will get tossed.
@Spingebill@doctorsex@sickburnbro they got this guy for a reason, i dunno what it is, but apparently there was some kind of evidence in his digital footprints and at his house that were both scrubbed
i have no idea tho, i'm not counter intel, intel or spec ops so who tf knows really
maybe the 'they' in the intel community who made the call to green light the attempt didn't want mossad to have yet another thing to blackmail them with
@doctorsex@sickburnbro People keep saying they’re gonna pull another 9/11 to get us into war with Iran, but if they couldn’t even find a guy who could hit a clear shot after half an hour of aiming, how are they gonna be able to do anything even close to 9/11-scale? Like, they could’ve at least taken the patsy to the range once or twice
Why is the competence of mossad assumed like that? Why wouldn't the assassination of a politician be something they wouldn't hand off, assuming the mossad is actually that much more capable? Etc.
@doctorsex@dictatordave@Spingebill yeah, I mean just like we know for sure the FBI has worked to make sure they only get positive depictions in the media it would follow that Mossad would try to cultivate a certain reputation
