     @_elena simply generating a new user does not forward the old user to the new one... it simply generates a new user that can be followed... I am working on a re-naming feature and a migration (Move-Activity) https://github.com/Automattic/wordpress-activitypub/pull/685

     If you fear that the use of the admin name could be a security issue, I would recommend you to use a two-factor plugin https://wordpress.org/plugins/two-factor/

     @_elena yes, the complete user management is not perfect yet... I always have to fight with some default WordPress stuff... But I hope we can fix/improve that soon!

     @_elena it could be a problem of your webserver config, it seems to either not generate the webfinger path properly or the hoster/config blocks it. This should return JSON https://elenarossini.com/.well-known/webfinger?resource=acct:ele@elenarossini.com

     You can try to regenerate the rewrite rules: Go to the permalinks page and press "save", you do not have to change something. Then re-check the URL above.

     @pfefferle blog.elenarossini.com is the redirect for my Ghost blog. The old native blog I had is under https://elenarossini.com/filmmaker-blog/ (sorry if this is confusing). and thanks for your help!
