   So basically what I learned today is, call someone a n*gger and they won't block, they'll just whine forever about how Mastodon needs to change and Mastodon devs aren't "Fixing the problem" etc.
   
   But if you suggest they are too stupid to use the Fediverse, they figure out how to use the block button very quickly.
   
   It's almost like they thrive on "harassment" but are pained by things that hurt their egos to help themselves.

     @sun As usual people, who complain about dogpiling, dogpile and go on to not explain why they agree with the original accusation (i.e. racist). It's as if they don't like being challenged.

     Talking to them (or about them) in any way without express (and retroactively rescindable) consent is harassment, which is grounds for a block.
     But, for all other annoyances they expect the rest of the community to be ever vigilant and constantly report (and remove) anything that might offend their sensibilities. As expressed 'allies' have to step up their game to keep misinformation, slurs, and wrongthink far away from the mastodon users delicate senses.
     It's called maintaining a safe community!

     @sun keep in mind these people are pathological narcissists. They aren't yelling about something to get it fixed. They yell about something because they wanna yell about something because that's how hollow and empty their lives are.
