   didn't update gentoo install for a week and now i have like 3 dozen packages to emerge for this update. well guess i'll have to leave that there for an hour and then emerge the new kernel i refused to emerge earlier

     @kirby@lab.nyanide.com Unity is/has been dead iirc. Ubuntu just ships a modified Gnome I think? @latein@cawfee.club

     @latein i unironically really like the ui ubuntu offers by default, i think other distros offer stuff like unity now tho

     @adiz @latein someone revived unity at some point https://ubuntuunity.org/
     
     i know they shipped a modified gnome now, but it's similar to the old unity setup they offered
