    @urwumpe @GreenFire @El_Indifferente @hindsight @noelreports

    Not only do they send their own workers. They send entrepreneurs and businesses to open stores and shopping centres that undercut the local vendors. And then there is blatant racism against the locals. This will be allowed to continue as long as the bribes keep flowing to the leaders and politicians of these countries. This is modern imperialism with Chinese characteristics.

      @GreenFire @El_Indifferente @VikingChieftain @hindsight @noelreports Yes, but... are we really better in that aspect? 😉 We also want influence and reknown. We should just not want more than mutual control, that SHOULD be the difference.

      If we build a road in Africa, we don't send our own workers...

      The Kremlin and Beijing do not give aid. They buy influence and access.

      @El_Indifferente @VikingChieftain @hindsight @noelreports the far right is still as strong as in the 1990s. Its just far less fractured, there is no competition on the extreme right, in the past, the CDU was far less interested in constitutional rights or treating migrants fair (even those from former German territory they claimed to support) than in staying in power.

      Denazification was never done completely here, neither in West nor in East.

      @VikingChieftain @hindsight @noelreports yup, a few trillion rubles per year and ruzzian orthodoxy and minority suppression.

      Have to admit that I still find it extremely strange for Hungary, with their history in relation to the USSR that these people fall to the #ruzzian narrative.

      In the other hand, the far right gets more and more powerful in Germany...

      An exit from the EU would have a much greater impact on Hungary and Slovakia than it did on the UK. Well, maybe Russia and China can give them a few billions to them every year to make up for their payments from the EU.

      @hindsight @noelreports I'm with you related to both dudes. Would prefer if the other members could work together on Article 7 for HU. Also to present the consequences of this to Fico.
      If both fully dislike the EU, they can ask GB how it is like loosing your biggest market willingly. Join CSTO but better ask Armenia about their experiences first.

      @El_Indifferente @noelreports I have to admit I don't like the leverage orban has in the EU, blocking aid.. and from what I've seen fico has the same tendencies.<shrug>

      Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico discussed resuming the transit of Russian Lukoil's oil through Ukraine with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Denys Shmyhal. Fico proposed a "technical solution". The Slovak government highlighted the importance of restoring this oil transit for the Slovneft oil refinery, as alternative oil sources are more costly and may not be suitable technologically.
