i think fundraising for politicians on fedi is a bit gauche when there are so many people in the #MutualAid hashtag who really need help
political parties full of billionaires with massive corporate donors don't need your contributions and a quarter million dollars is still absolutely nothing to them
trust me, that $20 is gonna mean more in the hands of the family struggling to put food on the table than it is for the presidential campaign of who-the-fuck-ever

well-to-do folks don't HAVE TO spend their money on helping the less fortunate, as much as i'd encourage it
but you have to understand that publicly donating to a major political party that gets enormous sums of money from corporations is essentially just burning it and then acting like you did us all a favor

that's enough to fulfill the needs of every single mutual aid crowdfunding post i've ever seen on here stretching back several years

and whatever amount ends up being raised for kamala will still just be a drop in the bucket compared to her gargantuan corporate donors

@vantablack @mynameistillian jfc the greed of those people. It's a drop in the bucket compared to the other donations. I don't even dislike Harris! I support her! But no way I would donate to her if I had the money, when my money would make a bigger impact if given directly to a struggling person.
