Well if it's stolen no. You should be able to burn your own flag. If you steal someone else's flag and burn it, it should be theft and destruction, but there should be no "hate crime" amplification.
As far as doing donuts, that's probably already covering by existing traffic code. I doubt there'd be code specifically for leaving tire marks (intentionally or unintentionally) but if so .. the charges should be limited to the traffic violations and nothing else.
Going beyond that in either instance is a political prosecution and law-fare. It's been done for decades in this country, so it's nothing new. But it still needs to stop. -

@djsumdog Well, as far as free speech goes yes, but what about the willful destruction of property aspect? The people that burned that flag stole it first, which is a problem. Regarding the destruction of the LBGT symbols in the road, I mostly think it's a problem of disproportionate enforcement, though i don't personally think they should be there.

@djsumdog I agree with that and would add that all "hate crimes" are ludicrus. How many crimes are comitted in love? And it presumes you can know what's in a person's heart. It also empowers the government to police attitude, instead of just behavior, and that can only lead to disaster, and in reality already has.
