   @thomasfuchs Whilst Calexico in California felt very sterile with the fence going through the town. It reminded me about East Berlin.

     @thomasfuchs Not from the states but I keep thinking if these people are motivated enough to drag themselves halfway across the world on foot, surely we should be registering them in the tax system, teaching them the local language and letting them get on with applying that motivation to making money. Heck why not put them in a higher tax rate for so many years if they arrive illegally. Locking them up and sending them back just costs us tax payers more money and misses out on their potential.
