   @protonprivacy has officially pressed the #enshittification button as they have launched a AI product AND a cryptocurrency product in the past two weeks.

   This will make me seriously consider moving away from #Proton products as a long time user (approaching 7 years now) and it's really a shame that they capitulated considering there's not much viable #email alternatives left aside from #selfhosting (which is a nightmare at itself BTW).

     @annehargreaves @protonprivacy Tuta and Mailbox.org are the only other two somewhat viable options but they all have pros and cons.

     You should surely email Proton your concerns as a longtime user and let them know that this move will put most of their loyal users under the bus (such as you and me) and be professional about it.

     This has the potential to kill their brand image.

     @joeo10 Hi Joe, I'm in UK - the only mention I can find of Proton & ai is their corporate ai crm platform, which seems to be a separate entity.
