My curiosity got the better of me and I just had to see what this would look like, so I disabled the objects long enough to take a snapshot... yeah, there's no real way to make this look even half decent.

Just checking object alignment - considering adding more trees to the 16:9 version since it looks pretty barren when zoomed out, but I want to maintain SOME consistency with the 4:3 version (or, I could just increase object variety by adding bushes... not sure what would match these trees, though).

A bit of brainstorming... just taking snapshots and pasting sprites into them - objects won't be coded in until sprites are finalized.

I actually had a sprite pretty much finished and ready for this, but I've been tossing around the idea of redoing it, so nothing's been programmed into this version yet either.
I've also been toying with the idea of highlighting that these rooms are supposed to be virtual spaces by just having strings of text floating around in the background - "TRAINING ROOM" translated into a random selection of languages and rendered in a number of fonts, or something else along similar lines to that.
