Why doesn't WordPress.org (the open source version) have a Mastodon account? Because they have considerably active Facebook, X, Instagram, YouTube and LinkedIn accounts...

In turn, their official handle links to their #Threads account.
Someone in the WordPress foundation needs to contact #Meta & have their account verified & activate #ActivityPub on their Threads account.
They also need to install the ActivityPub plugin so we can follow updates from the #Fediverse.
