   @MoritzGiessmann If you've been on Twitter for a long time I guess our layout looks RTL to you because it is in fact opposite of Twitter's, and your screenshot recreates Twitter. Matter of habit?

     Maybe a matter of habit, but the layout of Twitter looks like this because it works very well IMO. Elements in order of importance left to right, top to bottom. I don’t think I know any LTR site which puts the logo on the right side. Menu on the left hand side, since it is used very often and notifications are displayed there. Big "Publish" button instead of the form, because it declutters the interface.
