@dirb That sounds about right for the required storage space for a few copies of bloated versions of the kernel, Linux, plus initramfs's full of all of the proprietary software.

@dirb Probably preparing the EFI partition for a size big enough for windows - absolutely degenerate.
GNUboot handles booting much better than UEFI, as grub goes on the SPI flash chip and all that needs to go in the boot partition is a config file.

@Suiseiseki that would be fine, but the extremely dumb thing is that the installer will create another 1gb ext4 partition for /boot and the efi partition is for /boot/efi. so the whole 1gb efi partition is for just the grub bootloader executable
