Possibly. I just think back to the fact I haven't voted since the first Obama election, and even then I wrote in Mike Graven and Ron Paul.
Even in 2016 I though there was literally no difference between Orange Bastard and Murderous Bitch. The obvious lies in media were so blatant it felt surreal; and people just kinda believed. By 2020, even I was convinced maybe Orange man was marginally different.
But I think we just watched an 8 year long WWF match in politics, complete with stupid gimmicks. Trump was the perfect bad guy + underdog and all the deception made people emotionally invested like a kid watching wrestling or an man-child simping for some twitch streamer.
But in the world of the rich, that's not enough. The events of last Saturday felt like a blood sacrifice. It's not enough to flip the script. I think these crazy fucks really believe killing people in these shticks grants them some kind of power. In a way, the fact they can get away with it is a very real representation of that power.
@djsumdog Trump is most likely a puppet, but there is a good chance he might actually block CBDCs, but for a completely different reason than you might think.
A lot of people speculate that there is a "civil war" going on between the elites/shadow government. A certain faction isn't on board with The Great Reset/Agenda 21/30 because having a global, technocratic, "China-style" economy will destroy the tried-and-true, war economy. The Great Reset will destroy the middle class and the war economy depends on a middle class that is constantly consuming products. CBDCs and social credit will block certain people from participating in the white market, so less money will be used to fund wars.
Again, this is all speculation. Honestly, I don't know if continuing the war economy would be better or worse than what they're planning.
@djsumdog there's too many what-ifs for me to buy this angle, not even mentioning the ballistics of the scene. I will admit though that at this point politics is all as real as the WWE and the attempt, whether real or not, doesn't change anything about what policies or direction anyone is going. both sides are dug in too deep to ever back down.
