Its amazing to me that the left was able to memory hole the fact that they detonated 2,500 bombs in the 60's and 70's.
2,500!
No one knows this today which is astounding.

Can confirm as a zoomer that was, until right now, quite unaware of this.

@WilhelmIII @WoodFren @sickburnbro I used to see him walking around in Chicago and every time it crossed my mind to redact him from the planet.

Holy shit, thanks for the req. Just finished the prologue and I’m hooked. 1900 bombs in one year alone. What the absolute fuck? I feel like I’m reading alt-history fiction.

Yeah, funny how that just vanished from history.
Whem Barack Obama announced his candidacy for the US Senate, he did it in the living room of one of the bombers.

@Escoffier @sickburnbro yep, I didn't learn about the Weather Underground until 2018.

@spiral_power @Escoffier @sickburnbro I've seen them to it to force an idea into the public space as well. Probably the biggest I can remember was how they used the Watchmen tv show to push the Tulsa Race Riots back into a topic of interest.
In this case though, I believe the website "Weather Underground" is literally and unambiguously named after the terrorist group, and I'm a little surprised they got away with it (but not really).

@Elliptica @Escoffier @sickburnbro I have a theory that this is extremely deliberate.
take for example this new marvel movie, "something something: brave new world", in a few months, the only thing you'll be able to find when searching 'brave new world' will be niggers dressing in tights and teaming up with faggots to fight gay evil

@Elliptica @Escoffier @sickburnbro I've noticed this pattern a lot actually

@Escoffier @sickburnbro Not only does no one know it today, one of the bigger weather websites is explicitly named after the group behind many of these attacks.

@Escoffier @sickburnbro Googling a terrorist organization that bombed the US capital building in the 80s and the only thing that comes back are weather reports is a normal thing that happens.
