   Anyone knowledgeable about fedi stuff have time to answer a question? Let's say I need to take my server down for a bit; is there a certain timepoint at which the servers I'm federated with will just stop trying to communicate with my downed instance? And if so, are we talking hours, days, weeks, or never? If I needed to relocate it, for example, and am not sure how long that might take.

     @aud the default setting for mastodon is 7 days but if an admin sees excessive errors I'm Sidekiq they may turn off delivery manually.🤷♂️

     @aud it depends on follow relationships and the "jobs" going to your instance during the downtime.

     I did spend a little time with Sharkey. However, in my time I didn't notice if there was a way to see any issues like that. Hopefully you wouldn't have too much problem though.

     @BeAware@social.beaware.live Fair enough. I wonder if Sharkey will let me know if I'm having problems with those instances, in that case...
     
     I'm a single user instance, so ideally it doesn't fall under "excessive" : )
