   Getting increasingly annoyed with Outlook's grammar+style check. It gives me squiggly lines with suggestions that erase nuance and dilute meaning, for the sake of brevity/concision.

   No, "if" doesn't mean the same thing as "as long as", it lacks the connotation of of concern and almost an ultimatum. "if", in comparison, is a shoulder shrug.

     @loke I do have a tendency to get wordy, and so far I feel like 30% of the suggestions are reining that in. I don't usually take the suggestion, but I take the criticism and rephrase.
     
     And then sometimes it will criticize my rephrased wording, and that's part of the frustration. 😆

     @clacke Same. I turned it off, because it's completely useless to anyone with a passing understanding of English.

     I've also seen its live suggestions trying to introduce demeaning or aggressive language.
