   Took me 30 minutes to take out the trash because the basement was infested with rats. The upstairs neighbors moved out and left a lot of trash in a pile too big to fit in the trash can, which the rats took advantage of. I counted 10 sightings of rats (some of the sightings might have been repeats that I saw a second or third time).

     There's a shed-like structure that extends from the back door. But there's a 1 inch gap between the structure and the building that can't be sealed. So there's no way to keep them out. I really want the landlord to remove the structure and put in a proper back door.
