   @binarydigit I say go for it! Whether or not it goes anywhere, (re)learning things can be extremely rewarding on its own.

   And programming-related disciplines are especially fun (to me, at least) since it's learning and understanding more about how things work. Peaking behind that curtain causes you to think a bit differently, and I think that's exhilarating.

   Being able to use that knowledge to build stuff is pretty cool too, but I just adore gaining that kind of insight for its own sake.

     The last couple of years have been a journey for me, learning to accept that there are multiple positive trajectories my life could go instead of second-guessing the choices I’ve already made.

     Started keeping an aspirations list that I revisit every few days. Definitely some overlap with the sorts of things you list in your third paragraph.
