Looking at videos on how to lay a concrete foundation for a shed. Looks pretty simple, just time consuming.

I'd probably mix it myself depending on the cost difference.

If it is small enough it won't be bad.
Large ones you have to do in stages (form divided into sections) if you do it by hand.
Done both. Last few been huge or large at least so used concrete company to pour but we built the forms and did the dirt work and put in the steel.
Small one cattle panel type stuff makes reasonable strength on bricks or whatever to get it at right height.
Good day to call friends you kind of like but also hate lol

Slightly miserable but easy peasy.
Good form around is the key.
Are you getting it poured or mixing it yourself.

@matty @tyler @Jonaschuzzlewit it depends on how accessable it is to a truck. If it has to be wheelbarrowed, it will be smarter to rent a small mixer.

10x8 foundation at 4" minimum thickness is like 45 80 pound bags. You're going to want to just call a cemet truck in, even if it's 40% cheaper to mix it yourself you're going to be too tired to do a good job. That's almost 2 tons of dry material you need to move within one hour. Maybe if you have like 5 friends but even then....

Yeah I have my buddy and my dad that's about it lol. I'd probably call a truck to pour it. I don't know if the savings would be worth it. I'd rather spend $700 and not kill myself over $400 and shiddin n fardin

It would probably be around 10x8. I'm not sure if I'd have to do it in sections, as that seems like a pretty small area

@skylar @matty @Jonaschuzzlewit @tyler you can get a short load as small as you want, it's just gonna not be as cost effective as you might hope

@matty @Jonaschuzzlewit @tyler @sickburnbro i'd be mighty hard to get a concrete truck to deliver one yard

I suppose that's another option. Depending on the size of the truck it may not be possible. Hmmm

@tyler @Jonaschuzzlewit @matty my brother, you simply take the bags and PUT them in the wheelbarrow. And you can do that like .. the day before.

No dude. A wheelbarrow is 600x better than picking up all those damn bags in the summer sun.

@mjdigspigs @sickburnbro @Jonaschuzzlewit @matty @tyler that only works if you have men around, my mom's good at staring at tasks until they get done, by me and or stepdad.

Or stare at them until they do it themselves.
