      @nsarwark Without deconstructing the left-populist rhetoric, I agree that people should want to end homelessness. That starts by recognizing that in the majority of cases, solving it is a lot more complicated than just handing out cash to people on the street, and that in many cases it will take the initiation of force against the homeless to coerce them into changing their approach to their own mental health, drug abuse, etc.

      @nsarwark I don't see how UBI works with capitalism still in place. We saw with Covid when we gave out a weak UBI and quality of life went up and the economy went up, but then corporations remembered they were corporations and raised prices across the board which has made life for everyone but the 1% worse off.
