Totally frustrated - Kbin is dying / dead and nothing's getting better. I was ready to pack it in on Reddit after the blackout and Kbin looked like a nice, non-weird home in the fediverse to go to. A year later, we're in a month-long breakdown with no end in sight. Imgur's cool, but I wanted the non-dystopian version of Reddit.

I know some have reservations against it because of something the creator did or said, but I cannot remember the details unfortunately.
If you know the drama details surrounding that, would you mind enlightening me, so that maybe I can avoid recommending it in the future? There also is Mbin, created by @melroy I don't know its current development state, but as I understand it, it's still very early and may not even be released yet.😬

Melroy van den Berg (melroy@mastodon.melroy.org)'s status on Monday, 15-Jul-2024 19:55:12 JST Melroy van den Berg @BeAware @inkican Don't go with Lemmy.. Use Mbin indeed (https://github.com/MbinOrg/mbin)! I forked the /kbin project some time ago, I was afraid this would happen. So no worries, just move to one of the Mbin instances (or host your own Mbin instance).
See a list of instances: https://fedidb.org/software/mbin
