   The only goal GNOME seems to be is to make a visual clone of macos.
   
   I find that xfce4 is the best desktop, but it's not like you ever use the desktop if you're using primarily the church of Emacs.

     #KDE #plasma wants to make their desktop environment as good as Windows or even better; #GNOME has no respect for Windows and wants to make the best desktop they can.

     As a result: Plasma is Windows but with a good kernel and community and no malware included, and GNOME is the best preconfigured experience available anywhere for any device.

     Windows is the least user friendly option available today, why would you try to model your UX after it ...
