cobratbq - cranky-by-design (cobratbq@mastodon.social)'s status on Friday, 12-Jul-2024 21:12:36 JST cobratbq - cranky-by-design @jwildeboer as European citizen, I have different concerns with what's going on in USA. But I find it worrying how single-sidedly Trump has been attacked, and how blinded people have been concerning Biden.
Time and time again I see bad news and quickly after it gets contradicted. Recent example: https://x.com/1Nicdar/status/1811485828658430080I am trying to form a neutral opinion, even try to dislike Trump, but it's hard not to side with Trump (assuming binary choice situation) given constant display/abuse of power.

Alexandre Oliva (lxo@gnusocial.net)'s status on Friday, 12-Jul-2024 21:15:36 JST Alexandre Oliva funny, but I don't buy this notion that anyone who pushes for Trump must be in Putin's pocket. foreign influence in US politics seems to be orders of magnitude weaker than domestic influence by their own ruling class, and it is surely in their (ruling class's) interest for people to attribute their wrongdoings to foreign bogeymen
