     (I do think it's very funny tho that Democratic Party leaders and luminaries would sincerely think the best strategy to getting Joe to resign is to send George Clooney out with a knife. It's so ridiculously out of touch that I totally believe it's real - this is who these folks are lol)

     @AnarchoNinaWrites The most annoying part is that the whole thing will be memory holed if and as soon as there's a new Official Party Line. And that's coming from someone who kinda doesn't give a shit if it's Joe or someone else, at least in the abstract, because the Party Five Year Plan is likely the same either way if they're just gonna do a tagout instead of a primary.

     @CedarTea I have no clue what they're going to do; THAT part, I did not predict. I think it's pretty clear Joe is going down in flames - but what happens instead remains a mystery to me. I don't know if ANYONE knows, so there's nothing TO research that would tip me off.

     All I got is that I can't see the Dem Party returning the donations they already have, which would point to Harris since she was on the ticket and you could argue she doesn't HAVE to return them legally.

     @AnarchoNinaWrites I think Harris is likely instead, personally. Mostly for the reason you just said, plus they can argue the primary nonsense all holds because it's the normal succession. That way they can anoint instead of opening worm cans.

     Makes it also annoying that he picked someone nobody liked, but again, same 5 Year Plan either way. If the intent is to be a half-hearted speed bump, she's at least equal to Joe assuming she can win.

     @CedarTea I think she can win, if she just flat up says "these guys are fascists, *I* never wanted to work with fascists, I never wanted to back a genocide in Israel, I'm ready to fight."

     Will she? I dunno, that would take some pride swallowing to basically admit "hey, I'm not President, I just work here, and I hated a lot of that shit just as much as you did."

     But she's a MUCH stronger campaigner today, than she was in 2020.
