   It's quite sad that a 3rd-party tool makes it exponentially easier for a Youtube creator to download their own videos than YouTube does.

   After being away for so long, I wanted to spend some time collecting and archiving all my video content. Well, in YouTube Studio, I can only download one video at a time, at 720p.

   With Video Downloader, I can just dial up the URL to a playlist and download several in a batch -- at 1080p.

     @Sh4d0w_H34rt I can say for sure that Video Downloader works. I'm using it as I type this to download all my L4E playlists. (Some of which I made unlisted)

     @killyourfm I'm curious if those third-party apps are still working. Yesterday #Newpipe stopped working and not just for downloads but also online playback. Making me worry YouTube just implemented a big change designed to screw over third-party apps.

     UPDATE: Just noticed it downloads at up to 4K resolution. If that's the uploaded quality, you can set Video Downloader to snag that. Confirmed with several of my own videos.

     @killyourfm I've been using JDownloader for a decade. Not switching. Offers all sorts of options including choosing vid rez and audio type/quality and the only ad is up in the corner and unobtrusive. Runs under Linux too.
