     @JackTheCat I don't get this argument at all. Any and every possible road map is in the hands of Westminster. Westminster won't hand it over. If that's the end of the story, there's no point in the SNP. That's always been the goal of Westminster. To make the SNP irrelevant.
     It clearly is not the end of the story, though. 50% of the population currently supports independence. Does the SNP accept its imposed irrelevance, or does it find a new plan? If they don't, someone else will.

     Smith said there was no credible roadmap to Scottish independence that the party produced and voters were given “no reason to stick with us”.

     “Independence was indeed page one line one of the manifesto, but absent a credible roadmap to deliver it."

     And yet Alyn, while extolling the undoubted virtues, you did nothing to change it from within when you and others could have. Gutted.

     @JackTheCat while I agree with most of that, it's only half the story. SNP has held power in Holyrood for a very long time. Point to the big changes they have made in the areas where they have total control. They basically just held onto the UK model of doing everything when they had the opportunity to do things differently in areas like education, land reform, etc etc. The ambition, or was it the imagination, just wasn't there.

     @CloudyMrs @JackTheCat Have brooded in it since the election, I see ( maybe a bit dramatic) that my life has been on hold for too long, if you understand and it can't go on. It will be final.

     @CloudyMrs @JackTheCat I know it's what the unionists and WM want but I feel that our SNP government is just not focused, regardless of what we say. The last 18 months was taken over by distractions, right up the street of WM and the media. We supplied them with no shortage of sticks to beat us with. We're not even treading water anymore, we're drowning.

     @Roadwarrior29 @JackTheCat I think they are still in the room, but everything seems to be decided by the lowest comon denominator. It isn't inspiring.
