   What steps do I need to take? Here’s what I’m thinking should work…

     @gadgetboy you can't "import followers" unless you do an account migration from "Preferences" > "Account"

     Set up the Mastodon instance on my new server.

     Export my followers/following lists from the old server.

     Import my followers/following lists to the new server.

     Change DNS.

     Will this work?

     @gadgetboy ...🤨even so, you can't take your followers with you unless you migrate...has nothing to do with other users on the instance.

     @BeAware Thanks. I should have been clearer: I’m the only user on the instance, so that won’t be a problem.
