   Another recurring theme in 2024 for #Kdrama is #Divorce.

   Coincidentally, the current Congress session (both houses) in the #Philippines is finally getting closer into passing the restoration (or new one?) of the Divorce Law.

     @s1m0n4 Nope, not for almost a century already.

     The first divorce was the American version.

     When Imperial Japan took over, they changed it to what is called “full divorce”.

     And after WW2, the US brought back the American divorce.

     IIRC, by 1958, divorce was completely abolished.

     Today, the Philippines is the only country without divorce (not counting the Vatican city-state).
