   The compulsion to convince people Biden should drop falls on deaf ears bc the person making the ult decision is Biden, nobody else

   I’m so over people trying to convince me, others why he should drop. WE don’t decide, HE does

   If he drops, we vote for the Dem

   If he doesn’t, we vote for him

   End of story

     ProPublica is good for factual reporting.
     Timothy Snyder is very good at explaining the implementation of the fascist plans outlined in Project 2025.
     Even if you're not watching the play by play action, I think it's important to talk about what a non Dem presidency holds for all of us with the people in your social sphere.

     Sinc3 the debate, I have stopped watching anything on TV except low budget mysteries on the Hallmark Mysteries channel, Doc Martin, Murdock Mysteries, and Death in Paradise on Ovation, and Poirot and Sherlock Holmes on Roku, plus the occasional 2 star comedy or mystery on TCM. I'll vote my regular straight Dem ticket come Nov.
     I'll continue to read mastodon, The Guardian, and Texas Observer, but I don't even read linked articles in the NYT or Huffpost anymore.

     It IS hard. I too am thinking of tuning it all out until election day. This is probably the best strategy for preserving one's mental health right now. Tune out politics completely, and Vote Dem in Novem.

     Really, what more do we need to know? What can possibly happen to change our minds to where we'll vote Republican? They suddenly see the error of their ways and embrace decency and sanity? The Republican party is now pure evil and it probably will be until it finally dies.

     @GottaLaff I’ve had to unplug for the last week to keep my sanity. No news, no political programs. It is less stressful for me to watch true crime murder shows and listen to podcasts about mis-attributed parentage than it is to listen to even one minute of people who are hell bent on ending democracy. I’ve had it.
