   I actually wonder how often programmer decisions are driven by just sheer laziness. The reality is that I have far more to do in a day than there is time and so I'm always making sacrifices. I'm not being lazy, I just can't do everything.

     Consider also the lost concept of milestone releases and real versioning.

     One of the aspects of the hell of FOSS is the constant micro updates in lieu of discrete updates.

     It's like these alleged programmers just figure the nightly channel is stable so they push it to main every day.
