@andycarolan @liztai I teach designers at university. We no longer teach Adobe because the university can’t afford to keep a license for their computers in our labs. They are on their way out!

I once spoke to a content manager of a college and they said that they're currently trapped in the Adobe ecosystem and can't get out lol. They use it to publish their website or something. That's like the most ... avoidable thing imho. Adobe photoshop, on the other hand ... there needs to be more competitors in the market, but but no competitor tool can come close yet - according to my pro designer friends.

Then they really need to reconsider how they do things, unless they're totally okay with being gouged. In a way, I'm glad us writers can just do with a notepad, eventhough M. Word has dominance, we have many other options. @andycarolan

Designers are familiar with it, however for a new designer with no history with design software, there are many options. @andycarolan
