     @icedquinn I think the only major downside of a ruling like this is if, say, the president authorizes airstrikes on American civilians like in the #A24 movie #CivilWar, that might be hard to prosecute if all standard procedures and protocols were followed when doing so

     @icedquinn If I understand what you're saying here, yes, criminal law has never been used to encompass official government acts.

     The #SCOTUS ruling here actually isn't that dramatic, and is largely in line with what scholars have been saying for at least the 20ish years that I've been following politics. If it wasn't for the overzealous lawfare of #BlueAnon #Trump haters, I am not quite sure that this ruling would have been this closely watched.
