      2/ Via Mystal:

      Oh, well, there it is, absolute immunity for official acts.

      "Under our constitutional structure of separated powers, the nature of Presidential power entitles a former President to absolute immunity from criminal prosecution for actions within his conclusive and preclusive constitutional authority. And he is entitled to at least presumptive immunity from prosecution for all his official acts. There is no immunity for unofficial acts." -- Roberts

      GREAT NEWS! Roberts DID authorize Joe Biden to sent SEAL TEAM SIX after Alito, as an official act.

      The final opinion of the Supreme Court’s term: Presidential immunity. The court, in a 6-3 opinion delivered by Chief Justice John Roberts, REMANDS the case to Judge Chutkan for further findings on whether Trump’s conduct in the indictment qualifies as official or unofficial.

      Basically, he can’t be charged if he orders a legitimate strike on a terrorist that accidentally kills an American (or something like that), but he can be charged for personal acts while POTUS.

      Now (and the whole point of the ruling) comes the fight over official vs unofficial.

      And, apparently, you can't use like EVIDENCE against the President either:

      "On remand, District Court must carefully analyze the indictment’s remaining allegations to determ whether they too involve conduct for which a Pres must be immune from prosec. & the parties & District Ct must ensure that sufficient allegations support indictment’s charges w/o such conduct. Testimony or private records of Pres or his advisers probing such conduct may not be admitted as evid at trial”:Roberts

      It means that there’s likely going to be months — or years — of litigation aimed at figuring out what Trump can be prosecuted for and what he can’t.

      Trump lawyers will presumably challenge everything and we’ll end up back at SCOTUS.

      It’s a delay tactic.

      8/ Sorry for earlier deletes. I went to the wrong Mystal thread. Here;

      Jackson's dissent explains how the Court just crowned Trump King.

      Welp, that's all folks. The President is immune from prosecution so long as he says he committed crimes as part of his "official" duties.

      So ends the part of the American experience where our leaders were bound by the rule of law. Thanks for playing.

      The Supreme Court just gave Biden unequivocal immunity to order the military to take action against Trump.

      Today. Right now.
