     @thomasfuchs @lkngrrr Heck, the differences between one region and another are so big in several cases, that many linguists prefer to talk about multiple Germanic languages posing in a trenchcoat to form "standard German". Viennese German is sometimes considered as a dialect of Bavarian, not of German, for this reason. bar.wikipedia.org/wiki/Weanari…
