   Ok, I have a new mouse ordered and have figured out the tapping I think but I swear to god the next person who tells me that Macs are, intuitive is getting punched in the neck.

   I think I will probably be happier in the long run, but this is extremely painful, the learning

     @Bronwyn They are "intuitive" in the sense that if you've been using Macs forever & ever, it's intuitive to you, including when new features get rolled out.

     @kingrat @Bronwyn this is the correct take. the only people who say macs are intuitive are the ones who are already used to them, which is not what intuitive means.

     and I say this having gotten pretty comfortable with using my previous work macbook. it was fine, but there's nothing intrinsically easy or obvious about it. it's literally just marketing.
