@mangeurdenuage Even if crackers cracked in and downloaded all the source code for all of the drivers and all of the designs and published those, the hardware designs would still be proprietary and the drivers would still be proprietary, as downloading such information would be illegal.

@ooignignoktoo @coolboymew @hfaust Since the "hackers" fucked with nvid to force them to "open source" maybe you'll get compatibility soon if not already.

I understand how you feel about that but at the moment I have an RTX 3070 from 2020 I don't have any real plans to upgrade yet and I don't really want to shell out to buy a new card for linux if I can get away with it.

@coolboymew @hfaust Yeah Windows 11 is a zero option at my point. The day MS forces me to upgrade my OS is the day I install linux and I'm done. I'm sticking with W10 for now. I just wish Nvidia drivers weren't ass on Linux because I'd jump ship already if it wasn't.

True but it ease reverse-engineering in some country where you don't have the have "white/clean reverse-engineering" like France.

@mangeurdenuage Unfortunately, such information could not be legally used for any form of reverse engineering, even in countries that don't require clean room reverse engineering - as there's the concept of "the fruit of the poisoned tree".
