   They're likely not getting her back either. Best interest of the child law would likely result in the court determining that it was in the best interest of their nob-daughter daughter to remain with them and their actual daughter to continue living the life she is.

     Foster care could mean that the child had been with that parent for a long time, but just not adopted yet.

     @Humpleupagus Yea, but it implies impermanence. If they didn’t adopt and the biological parents from a stable household are making a claim I just don’t see how they could be denied. Especially because it was a clerical error. The whole situation is insane, but I doubt even in the cucked legal system you’d see a judge denying a two parent household guardianship of their biological child.

     How did the mixup happen? I have three kids. They were never out of my sight from birth to when we left tnt hospital.

     It looks like some states do allow an action for emotional distress caused by the mix up. I imagine they may be entitled up a few million dollars.

     So I found the story. It's even more bizarre than described. Apparently, the state took the actually child from the other couple because DNA showed they were not the parents. The state apparently never tried to find the real parents. Wtf.
