   They seem to like the worst parts of the old testament, the parts of the Torah the Rabbis say we should take with a grain of salt as a product of the time, or even metaphorically.

   The best thing I can say about Christianity is it's actually pretty hard to twist Jesus' words toward hate and evil.

     @triddles — it’s extremely easy to twist anything you’ve not read yourself.
     In 2001, after the 9/11 terror attacks, there was a lot of discussion on how Muslims didn’t know their religion because most of them didn’t have any education in Classical Arabic. Sort of how the Christian Bible was translated into Latin in Europe. None of the subjects/people could read or understand it.
     Even with translations in the native language today, Christian’s don’t know the Bible.

     @triddles — and if you refuse to read the Bible yourself, it is extremely easy for someone to tell you what is in the Bible and get you to do what they want.
     Indoctrination makes you follow blindly.
