    Which May was the hottest month on record? The last one.
    And April? Again, the last one.
    And March? Still the last one.

    And the list continues until June 2023, cumulating in a 12-month streak.

    This is why EU countries are committed to becoming climate neutral by 2050, aiming to emit no more greenhouse gases than they remove from the atmosphere.

    We are leading the way in climate action.

      @EUCommission if all emissions stop completely right now, warming will continue for another 30 years. So, bye, been nice knowing you all.

      @EUCommission Boosted this but with very mixed feelings. Capitalism, especially the Neo-liberal variant, is a virus which is still dominant within the EU. I'd like to see a more bike friendly, public transport friendly and Earth friendly EU, including no push-backs of refugees. For example the 10 year more of Glyphosate (Monsanto RoundUp) allowance is likely the result of pushing of lobby groups. Ongoing pressure by for profit lobby groups is a problem that the EU should do something about.

      @EUCommission
      In the meantime, there is still no imposed reduction in the use of fossil fuels whatsoever. People can continue using their cars as much as they want, to buy groceries or go on vacations. Germany can close its nuclear plants and open coal ones.

      The reason for that is simple, and valid: democracy. With far-right very conservative parties growing popularity in many countries, and the Greens locked in their 1970's fights, it is impossible to go faster. The problem is us, the people.
