Some people just bolted into the train with the doors already closing and I was just thinking about how we abuse the "safe" of our environment - like when you use your arm/foot to hold open the elevator door. You are abusing its built in protection of you to override its function with your will.
And that is the mental model these people use when jumping between closing doors - but I am not sure these doors have the same built-in safety. Neither do they..
