   Some people just bolted into the train with the doors already closing and I was just thinking about how we abuse the "safe" of our environment - like when you use your arm/foot to hold open the elevator door. You are abusing its built in protection of you to override its function with your will.
   And that is the mental model these people use when jumping between closing doors - but I am not sure these doors have the same built-in safety. Neither do they..

     @priscillaharing there will one day be trust that car's auto braking to avoid collision will work very well, and people will be able to cur directly in front of any other car with a moderate expectation of nothing happening to then

     @priscillaharing my negative view is that autism braking will only work for cars. It won't watch for pedestrians.

     @ATLeagle yes and will people abuse this to cross wherever they like?
     protesters now are sitting on roads and expect the built-in do-no-harm of a human driver to make sure they don't get flattened, this doesn't always work so we'll either
