@AmonMaritza @sickburnbro I also particularly liked the curt response to the idiotic whine about "loveless marriages". As if the children are now secondary props or assets to be traded around. A core concept of marriage is that your individual desires are subsumed into the family unit, and there will be plenty of tough times to work through.

@TrevorGoodchild @AmonMaritza yes, the whole idea of "through sickness and health" has been destroyed because of TV. All the "boring" stuff has been stuffed into the montage, and you just see the "fun" parts.

@kuronakai1488 @TrevorGoodchild @AmonMaritza "loveless marriage" in general is the wahmen term for "I don't got the tingles anymore because I'm blasting my mind with media telling me how many exciting things I *could* be doing"

@kuronakai1488 @TrevorGoodchild @AmonMaritza @sickburnbro Love is a set of behaviors to better another person, not some airy-fairy set of emotions/feelings.

@AmonMaritza @sickburnbro Husbands have responsibilities to their wives, wives have responsibilities to their husbands. Responsibilities are not abnegated due to fee fees. Simple as.

Old people get divorced because they don’t know what to do with each other when the kids are gone. It’s your whole life.

@AmonMaritza @sickburnbro Not making a good case for no-fault divorce then, are we?

@TrevorGoodchild @AmonMaritza what's bonkers is the assumption that after your kids are gone you have no responsibilities to your family.
