     @icedquinn@blob.cat Yeah, it's sad that the ones who wants to be better than China are unable to offer a better alternative to a lot of chinese products, up to a point the Chinese are gaining a big market share in the west.
     
     Either they wake up and start producing useful stuff in an affordable manner, or in a couple of years everything will be China. Just like everything was the US a few decades ago.
     
     And don't get me wrong. Most products made in China and sold cheap, have a "questionable" quality, to say the least. But even those often offer more features than a "premium quality" western products. It's like comparing a Huawei phone to an Apple phone.

     @enigmatico i mean to an extent western goods can't be cheaper than certain amounts because we have these things called "minimum wage" laws, but it starts to get embarassing when the price disparity is literally 300$ and the thing is running deeply outdated chipsets
