@killyourfm interesting and relatable :) I didn't get in quite so early, but just early enough to have a single "family" pc with a dail up modem. It has always been magic to me and a lot of it still is, but it's been a blast learning about it ^^
@ReverseModule Those are great stories, too! I wish I could all of these tech origin stories into a volume somewhere. They're so inspiration, so full of nostalgia, and just a joy to read.
@killyourfm Concerning PCs, it must have been around the same time I visited my Aunt and she had a Windows 3.1 machine. I BEGGED my dad to get one of these and it took 1-2 years but we went together to the store and bought the brand new Windows 95 PC. Unforgettable times!
@killyourfm Really nice post. My first contact with videogames was when I was 4 and my dad brought home a Game Boy. The year was 1993 and I just couldn't get over how cool this thing was.
He also bought a Looney Tunes game. The very first time I played it, I decided I wanted to be a game developer, which my dad definitely didn't expect or appreciate at the time. XD
